Earlier this year, Fortune Brands Innovations announced our partnership with the Alliance for Water Efficiency (AWE), a nonprofit dedicated to the efficient and sustainable use of water across North America. In August, AWE hosted its second annual Water Efficiency and Conservation Symposium in Chicago with Moen as presenting sponsor.
Symposium attendees hailed from the US and abroad, representing water utilities, government agencies, universities, businesses and consumers. The 2024 event centered on topics including residential water conservation, water policy, the energy-water nexus, and corporate water stewardship.
In addition to sponsoring the Symposium, Moen supported a session called, “Evolution of Drought Response: Bold Strategies to Amp Up the Impact” – a panel discussion with experts who imparted lessons learned from deftly balancing community water needs with water scarcity. Clear from the panel is that water efficient products – such as those that comprise the Moen Smart Water Network – are critical for consumers and homeowners who need to use water judiciously without a compromised experience.
The Moen Smart Water Network provides consumers with an ecosystem of smart water-saving products, including smart showers, smart faucets, smart irrigation, smart sump pump monitors, and smart leak detection, all readily managed via the Moen Smart Water App. Flo Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff devices offer a digitally driven and proactive approach to leak detection, with the ability to help reduce water damage claim frequency events by as much as 96%,1 as well as household water wasted through preventable leaks by up to 90 percent.2 Innovative integrations with smart home assistants in addition to smart home security and control platforms offer convenience and benefits to consumers, insurers, utilities, and municipalities through better-informed consumer water use throughout the home.
Supporting consumers in their efforts toward smarter water use, our Mission Moen initiative strives to help consumers save 1 trillion gallons of water and repurpose 2,000 tons of ocean plastic by 2030 through product and packaging innovations, including those of our Smart Water Network. (If you’re wondering, we’re well on our way – view the current count of gallons of water saved and tons of ocean plastic repurposed by visiting Mission Moen online.)
We are proud to have helped AWE host this event and congratulate the AWE team on a successful Symposium!
