David Barry

David is Interim Chief Executive Officer for Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc.

David has been with Fortune Brands for more than a decade in a variety of leadership roles. Prior to being appointed Interim CEO, David was president of Security and Connected Products, a role he took on in January 2025. In that position, David led the Company’s iconic legacy security business and was responsible for growing Fortune Brands’ digital business, including Yale and August smart residential locks, Master Lock connected lockout tagout and the Moen smart water ecosystem, including the Moen Flo leak protection solution.

Prior to becoming the president of Security and Connected Products, David served as Fortune Brands Innovations’ CFO from March 2023 to the beginning of 2025.

Before his time as CFO, David served as senior vice president of finance and investor relations from April 2021 to March 2023.

From 2017 to 2021, he was chief financial officer and senior vice president for the Water segment at Fortune Brands.

He joined the Company in 2015 as senior director of financial planning and analysis, strategic planning and business development and was promoted to vice president of finance in 2017.

Prior to his time at Fortune Brands, David held various senior financial roles at J.M. Huber Corporation.

David received a bachelor’s degree in classics from Davidson College and a master’s degree from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
