Our team at New Bern, North Carolina reached a major safety milestone this September: 5 million hours worked with no lost time incidents.
“I want to give a huge thank you and congratulations to team New Bern for 5 million hours with no lost time incidents. That is an absolutely massive achievement! I couldn’t be prouder and you have demonstrated just how seriously you take safety in running one of the safest facilities in our industry.” – Nick Fink, CEO
Beyond frequent safety training, some of the ways the team in New Bern (and all our FBIN sites) stay focused on safety include initiating proactive Learning Teams (or similar approaches), which engage associates and encourage feedback to drive even safer outcomes, and the Critical Element Programs, which heighten awareness and mitigate risk on safety components like lockout tagout, electrical safety, physical security, and many more. At FBIN, we also share best practices across the organization, so when one team sees success, they’re encouraged to share that knowledge.
The team in New Bern is planning a celebration for later this Fall to mark the occasion. Congrats to our associates in New Bern for this safety achievement!
