Peter Clifford

Peter Clifford is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Fortune Brands Innovations.

Pete brings more than 30 years of finance leadership experience across building products, healthcare and industrial businesses, including public-company CFO and COO roles at The AZEK Company and Cantel Medical. Throughout Pete’s accomplished career, he has developed deep expertise in global operations, finance transformation and mergers and acquisitions while building credibility with shareholders through clear, effective communications. He will help Fortune Brands strengthen execution and position the Company to deliver long-term shareholder value.

Most recently, Pete was CFO for Filtration Group Corporation, where he improved financial controls, accelerated performance and developed a compelling investor value proposition. He helped lead Filtration Group through a successful acquisition process that culminated in the company’s sale to publicly traded Parker Hannifin Corporation on August 13, 2026.

Prior to becoming CFO at Filtration Group, Pete was CFO and COO at The AZEK Company from August 2021 to January 2025, where he strengthened the finance organization and generated significant value for its shareholders. Before his time at AZEK, Pete served as CFO at Cantel Medical from March 2015 to May 2019, and then as CFO and COO from May 2019 to August 2021, helping lead the company’s transformation from small cap to SMID cap. At Cantel Medical, he executed more than 15 M&A transactions within a disciplined portfolio management strategy.

From 2006 to 2015, Pete worked at IDEX Corporation, where he had various divisional CFO leadership roles. Prior to IDEX, Peter spent six years at GE in various finance management roles.

Pete received a BS in accounting from Eastern Illinois University, an MBA from Northern Illinois University, and completed the Executive Development Program at Stanford University.
